What's happening at GSML?
- We are looking for interested individuals to help restart our Friends of the Library group. A Friends group will help us with fundraising, promoting, advocacy, and more.
- We have been notified that we are recipients of the American Library Association's Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant and will be receiving $10,000 to help us improve our building's accessibility. We are planning a community conversation to discuss our ideas and gather input from the community as to how we can improve the library's accessibility; date is to be determined.
- We have also been awarded a grant from Dollar General's Literacy Foundation which will go towards our Summer Reading Program.
- Summer Reading starts June 17 and we will have Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center helping us kick it off! We have a lot of fun events planned. Keep scrolling for the full brochure.
