What's happening at GSML?
- First and foremost, my apologies for forgetting to send out an August newsletter! Summer Reading was very busy this year with a record number of participants, and by the time I realized I had not sent the monthly letter out, it was too late. We also had a number of programs rescheduled due to the stormy weather; please be sure to check our Facebook page and website for the latest library updates.
- The library's permanent phone number will be returning to 860-423-5159 as of Friday, 8/25. We are working with a new internet/phone service provider and should have a reliable, working phone again after this date.
- We are still looking for interested individuals to help restart our Friends of the Library group. A Friends group will help us with fundraising, promoting, advocacy, and more. It can take as much or as little time as you can afford to contribute!

- Summer Reading is over! We sincerely thank everyone who came out to participate in the program, the events, and who provided feedback so we can continue to improve our annual summer reading program. We are also extremely grateful to The Pageau Trust and The Dollar General Literacy Foundation for their grants which paid for most of the programs, supplies, and incentives for this year's program!
