Annual Memorial Day Parade and Picnic

Watch the town’s Memorial Day Parade! The parade begins at 11:00 at the Pomperaug Office Park and continues down Main Street South to the Memorial Green for Ceremony honoring those who served our country. Main Street South between Depot Hill Rd and the Senior Center will be closed to traffic during the parade.

Join us afterwards at Ballantine Park for the Family Day Picnic. The picnic starts at 12 noon and will run until 3:00 p.m. There will be a variety of activities going on throughout the day, such as inflatables, face painting, bubbles, music, food and more.

Boy Scout Troop 1607 will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks throughout the day for all to enjoy. You can buy food from them or bring your own. Veterans will receive a free meal compliments of the Troop.
