Antiques, Appetizers & Aperitifs will be open to the general public at a cost of $45.00 per ticket. The price of admission will include appraisal of two items along with a selection of light refreshments. Appraisals will be done by Joy Hanes of Hanes & Ruskin Antiques, Old Lyme; David Perrelli of Old Beautiful, Clinton; and Beth Ringo of Silk City Antiques, Manchester. The specialists have expertise in the areas of furniture, fine art, decorative art, textiles, books, and jewelry. In the event that appraisals of large or unwieldy items are desired guests are requested to bring clear photographs. The event will offer an opportunity to learn about guests’ cherished possessions in a historical setting furnished with period antiques and artifacts, many original to the building.
Tickets are available in advance through the museum’s website or may be purchased at the door. Guests are also invited to support the Stanton House by becoming members or renewing their existing memberships.
