This enchanted recreation of a 16th-century harvest festival will take you back to the days of yore where you’ll see jousting, live-flight birds of prey, comedy, magic, and so much more. A family adventure for all ages awaits!

Each weekend of the Faire comes with a unique theme, new shows and merchants, and more. Join thousands of other guests who come back again and again to experience more! Our themes come with new contests, shows, shops, and guest authors. Just one more reason to get a season pass.

Wizard Weekend

We solemnly swear we are up to no good. Magic is in the air at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. With plenty of enchanted and mystical goods to shop for you’re bound to find the item of your choice unless of course, the item chooses you instead.

Meet the Author: Our “Meet the Author” event is just one more reason you need a season pass as we host a different fantasy author each and every day of our show. This is your chance to:

-Get to know the author and let them know what you enjoy most about their book(s).
-Buy a book and have it signed. You are also welcome to bring a book you’ve already purchased.
-Snap a selfie if there is time. Be sure to hashtag it with #ctfaire on Facebook so they can see it later.
-Cosplay a character from their book – we encourage it!

Visit our Market page to see our list of visiting authors.

Harry Potter Cosplay Costume Contest: Whether you’re from Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, all houses of Hogwarts are welcome to compete. Once the contest ends, kids can explore the shire to find candy-filled snitches hidden in plain sight.

Contest Info: Unless otherwise specified, entry into all contests at the Special Events Stage are included with your same-day admission to the Faire. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.

There are no age limit restrictions. Please come dressed as your desired character.

Snitch Egg Hunt: Kids (ages 0-9) can race around the shire to gather eggs. Be sure to bring a basket or bag to hold your candy and eggs. Don’t forget your camera! This contest starts at the Special Event stage immediately after the costume contest.
