Brookfield Library Newsletter - October 2022

From: Brookfield Library

Dear Friends,

Happy Fall! Leaves are changing color and we have lots of changes at the Library!

We are pleased to announce that our window replacement project is complete and the new windows look great. The handrail for the upgraded ramp outside of our Community Room entrance has also been installed. Finally, in November our downstairs bathrooms will be renovated and made ADA accessible! You may also notice alterations in the layout of the Library that we hope will make our building an even more welcoming space. Thank you for your patience while we go through these much-needed modifications.

We were so pleased last month to join the majority of libraries in Connecticut that are fine free! Please check out the FAQs on our website for all the details on how our fine free program works. Please continue to keep in mind that returning items on time allows more patrons to enjoy them!

Lastly, this month we will be launching a new library calendar and program registration system that we think you will find to be more user-friendly and visually appealing. View all The Brookfield Library has to offer on our website at https://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/, and register for a program today. Don’t forget to visit our table at the Best of Brookfield at Candlewood Inn on October 12!

Happy reading!

Concert
TFK Band
Saturday, October 8
4:30 - 5:30 pm
On the Lawn by the Arbor

Trust Fund Kids

The TFK band is a group of talented musicians whose love for music will shine through during their performance. Their song list is drawn from the most multilayered and sophisticated material that classic rock has to offer. A satisfying collection of hits from Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley and a wide variety of Motown and R&B gives their sound both a danceability and a “deep” listening experience. The members of this band are seasoned players who find joy in recreating these challenging songs; they share that joy with the audience. They WILL make you move. And for the more cerebral of you …they’ll entice you to listen!
