Canton Library Hosts Arts Council Display

Never fear, the days will be getting longer, though we still have some cold, dark afternoons and evenings to go this winter. We hope you come to visit the library during January and February, where members of the Canton Arts Council (CAC) will display their work in the gallery space. The artists have created works of several media types, including oil or acrylic on canvas, photography, pastel and mixed media, to name some. We’ll see many landscapes, local, regional and international; also portraits of dogs and floral still lifes, and more.

Everyone is invited to the CAC Art Show’s evening opening reception on January 11, at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Many of the artists will be available to discuss the creation of their work, which frequently is also available for purchase. The show runs from January 2 through February 29 during regular library hours, Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm, Friday, 10am-5pm and Saturday, 10am-3pm. Please contact Beth Van Ness at the library with any questions.

We have a great deal of local talent in Canton. We hope you come see for yourself!
