News from the Mayor's Office

Important Information for Stamford Residents

- The Stamford Department of Health Flu vaccine clinic will open on Wednesday, October 3rd at 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and continue every Wednesday until April 30th, 2023. The clinic will be located at 137 Henry Street, no appointment needed.
- The Scofield Special Collection (55 Rock Rimmon Rd) will be held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on October 1st

Paving

- This year, the City of Stamford has announced “Pave Stamford,” initiative that seeks to double the amount of road paving and sidewalk restoration done during this budget cycle. Click here to view the Tier 1 paving list.

- Residents can submit road paving suggestions for the Tier 2 list of the Pave Stamford initiative here

COVID-19 Updates

Case Numbers

Follow the City of Stamford’s Covid-19 Dashboard, which provides the latest up-to-date
information on COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates in the City.

Vaccination Sites

- Friday, September 30th, 2022:

The vaccination site at Scalzi Park will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

- Saturday, October 1st, 2022:

The vaccination site at Westover School will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Scalzi Park site will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Henry Street clinic will be open from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

- Sunday, October 2nd, 2022:

The Scalzi Park site will be open from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Next week, 10/3– 10/6 vaccines are available at the following locations free without an appointment:

- All Ages

- 137 Henry Street Clinic: Monday & Wednesday 8:30 am to 2:45 pm
- 137 Henry Street Clinic: Tuesday & Thursday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Scalzi Park: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

- 1st and 2nd doses are available to all, as well as booster shots for ages 5+ (Pfizer) and 18+ (Moderna/J&J) at all walk up vaccination clinics.

Covid-19 Testing Sites

- St. Mary’s Church (566 Elm St) testing site will be open at the following times:

- Monday - Friday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
- Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

- Accu Reference (689 Canal St) testing site will be open at the following times:

- Monday - Friday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Other Resources

- If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you. Please call 203-977-4378 or 203-977-4369 to schedule your free in-home COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

- Please visit the State of Connecticut's Vaccine Portal for information on how to request a new copy of your card.

- The Take it Or Leave it Shop & the Book Swap Shop at Katrina Mygatt are now open:

- The Take It or Leave It Shop is open on Tuesday & Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
- The Book Swap Shop is open on Tuesday & Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

- The Mayor’s Multicultural Council & Mill River Park Collaborative Rhythm and Rumba Salsa Nights at Mill River Park

- October 7th: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (Rain Date: October 14th)

- A Community Conversation with Robert Livingston (Harvard University Social Psychologist and Author of The Conversation) on Monday, October 3 at 6 p.m. You can register here.
