BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS
REAL ESTATE, PERSONAL PROPERTY and
MOTOR VEHICLE SUPPLEMENT for GRAND LIST October 1, 2022
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
The Board of Assessment Appeals will be hearing appeals for 2022 Real Estate, 2022 Personal Property, 2022 Motor Vehicle and 2021 Motor Vehicle Supplemental assessments, in Room 311, Torrington City Hall, 140 Main Street, Torrington, on the following dates: Monday, April 10th; Tuesday, April 11th; Wednesday, April 12th; Thursday, April 13th and Friday April 14th.
Regular Motor Vehicle appeals can also be heard on September 13, 2023.
All April hearings are by appointment only. All residents of Torrington wishing to appeal their real estate, personal property, motor vehicle and supplemental motor vehicle assessments at the April hearings must file an application form. The form will be available March 1, 2023 by clicking here or on the Assessor’s webpage or in person in the Assessor’s Office at City Hall. Once the completed application is received, a letter will be sent to the appellant’s address with the scheduled date and time of hearing.
DUE TO SCHEDULING PROBLEMS, APPOINTMENTS CANNOT BE CHANGED.
