I Love Lucy

I Love Lucy premiered in 1951, and since then, has been revered as one of America's most beloved sitcoms. Join us for a presentation about how the show got its start. We will also hear about the rockiness behind the scenes between cast members. And the controversies the program raised at the time of its original airing. Get ready to travel back to the 1950s with Ricky, Fred, Ethel and of course Lucy! Drop in.

The Cloisters Art Talk

Joining us via Zoom from New Jersey is Mike Norris, PhD, to tell us about The Cloisters. A part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cloisters specializes in European medieval art and architecture, with a focus on the Romanesque and Gothic periods. This program will be hybrid – patrons can either join us in person at the library or login from home using Zoom.

Blackout Poetry

2:00pm - 3:00pm

April is National Poetry month! Come join us as we conclude the month by creating our own blackout poetry. You will be provided a paragraph to use as a template. Use a black sharpie, colored pencils, paints, or markers, to create your own blackout poem. Supplies will be provided. Drop in.
