Sensory Space Opening

Danbury Library’s Sensory Space will be available for reservation beginning on March 30th.

The new space features furniture and equipment designed to provide an environment to explore the senses, manage stress and anxiety, work through emotions, and improve focus.

Danbury community members are invited to tour the Sensory Space following the Autism Awareness and Acceptance Ceremony on the Library Plaza on March 29th

Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day Ceremony

March 29th from 5:00-6:00pm

Library Plaza

Sensory-friendly ceremony led by Caio Leaf as master-of-ceremonies, featuring remarks by Jeremy Klein Farrell, autistic individual and professional autism advocate, recognition of organizations that support inclusion by Mayor Dean Esposito, and an exceptional musical performance by Amanda Higley, autistic performing artist.
