Derby Neck Library Newsletter March And April 2023

From: Derby Neck Library
March 3, 2023

Dear Derby Neck Library Patrons,

Happy Spring! We're going through a pretty major shift right now, but our staff remains committed to providing you with the same great programs and services you've come to expect here at Derby Neck. This includes a brand new service--Mango Languages! Use your library card or come visit in-person to learn a new language. Our local history expert and librarian Pat Sweeney will give a talk on the Valley during the Great Depression and VITA has returned on Sundays to assist with tax preparation. We're also pleased to continue playing host to the FREE "Age Well" series, and we'll welcome back everyone's favorite Irish Balladeers the Kerry Boys on March 18th!

All of our youth programs are continuing as planned, with storytimes and art on Mondays and Tuesdays for our littlest patrons. Our Makerspace is the best place to craft and explore, and don't forget to get your game on at Poképals Club, Video Game Club, and Teen Game Night! Our special programs like B.A.R.K., Sit and Social Storytime, Twitch Streams, and Deckmasters Tournaments are sure to keep everyone engaged. And mark your calendars--March 14th will see the return of Hatch the Chicken! Stop in the Children's Room to watch our little guests hatch and grow until April 18th.

You can read about all of our great programs and activities in the newsletter and on our Website. Links are below. We hope to see you all soon. Be safe, be healthy, and be well!
