I apologize for the newsletter being late. You will hopefully be receiving this today, August 9th. We hope you will join us for the rest of our activities this month as we continue the summer program. Please remember to register your children as space is limited. Also, if you can’t make it to an event you’ve registered for, please cancel with us to let another child attend. We appreciate it.
Disney movie, Dinosaur, starts at 2:00 inside the library! Beat the heat and join us!
Come meet Tony Volpe, an Eastford Hero! Tony will be here to talk about firefighting and may even have a truck for the kids to check out! Come see us!
On Tuesday, August 15th, bring the kids down at 2:00 for a hero obstacle course. Do they have what it takes to be a hero?
On Wednesday, August 16th at 2:00, we will show the movie The Incredibles, here in the library.
On Thursday, August 17th at 6:00, we will have a pot luck from the Mystery Writer’s Cook Book. Come into the library to sign up and pick a recipe from the cook book. Bring the dish in on Wednesday and enjoy a meal! This is the End of Summer celebration for the Adult Summer Program but all are welcome to participate!
Bring a picnic lunch down to the library at 12:30 on August 19th. We’ll provide the ice cream cones! Bring a T-shirt so we can Tie Dye them later!
Every Thursday, join Miss Jennifer for Storytime and craft at 11:00am!
Every second Wednesday of the month we have Maker’s night. Sometimes we do crafts with adults, many times we encourage you to bring a project you’re working on and socialize! This month we will meet on August 9th at 6:00pm.
Are you interested in being a friend of the library? Stop in to sign up to be part of this wonderful group. We will have by-laws for viewing and there are officer seats for the taking. Right now the group is working on getting situated but they need officers. A meeting is set for September 21st at 5:00 at the library. Stop in for more information. Volunteer today!
