Teen Anime club is for 13+ year old youth. There are no exceptions. This group meets every other Wednesday at 3:30 - 5:00.
Youth Anime club is for 8-12 year old and is led by volunteers. It occurs once a month at 4:00-5:00.
Story time Happens every Thursday at 11:00 am. Miss Jennifer eagerly awaits an audience. Bring your child in for stories, craft/activities and snack.
October 5th we will be hosting Michelle Griffis, the Nutmeg Nose, speaks to audiences on the over 40 wineries in Connecticut and provides them with insights on visiting these local businesses. Her brand, The Nutmeg Nose, supports not only the Connecticut wineries, but also local businesses including breweries, boutiques (both online and brick and mortar) and eateries.
For those who would like to add to the fun we have a recipe book called Wine Time, that has simple recipes for simple bites that pair with wine. We are asking that you pick a recipe to make and bring it to share. No, we won’t be serving wine because we’re the library, but we will have mocktails. Learn about Connecticut's wineries before you tour!

October 27th at 5:00 the library will be hosting our annual fundraiser, Adopt a Book. We buy books we’d like to add to our collection and display them with the price that we paid for them. You “buy” them at that price for the library and have a book plate put in them to honor a loved one or to leave a message. You also have first dibs on it. This is perfect for gift giving- the kind of gift that keeps on giving! You will also be able to meet our library board, see who we honor this year and have refreshments! Please join us.
Books will be displayed for a few weeks.

Mystery Book Club
We will be discussing “Finlay Donovan Is Killing It” by Elle Cosimano. Join us for a fun evening!
We will be showing two movies in October!
On October 8th we have Eastford Independent Fire Company bringing one of their trucks to the library! It’s pretty exciting! They will be here at 6:00. After we learn about the truck and our volunteer fireman heroes, we will have cheese pizza and watch Disney’s 101 Dalmatians.
On October 22nd at 6:30 we will show Hocus Pocus 1! Miss Jennifer and Miss Beth have never seen it!
Both movies are outside movies so bring chairs, blankets and bundle up. If it rains we will show them inside.

Maker’s Night is October 12th at 6:00. This month we’re offering a tutorial on crafting a ribbon wreath. You can bring a work in progress if you’d rather. Come and join the company of others.
We have games to take out and legos that children can play with while at the library! Come check out the toys in the children section.
