Guilford Smith Memorial Library Happenings - May 2023

May 9, 2023

What's happening at GSML?
- Our semi-annual Spring Book & Bake Sale is happening on Saturday, May 13 from 9am-2pm. This year, we're adding an outdoor craft fair (weather permitting) with 20 craft vendors, a fire truck from the South Windham Fire Department, and Jayy's Food Truck!
Please note - parking will be along the street only. If you plan on attending as a group, please plan to carpool or park at the park-and-ride on Rt 32 (next to Apollo Restaurant) and carpool over to the library.

- We are looking for interested individuals to help restart our Friends of the Library group. A Friends group will help us with fundraising, promoting, advocacy, and more.

- We have been notified that we are recipients of the Pilcrow Foundation's Children's Book Grant! This means we will be able to purchase new children's fiction and nonfiction books with this 2-to-1 matching grant.

- Summer Reading starts next month! We are in the process of planning lots of fun activities all summer long.
