Virtual: The Essential Edgar Allan Poe

Monday, October 3, at 6 p.m.

In this virtual program, William Pack exhumes the tragic life and remarkable writings of this American genius. This biographical lecture relies heavily on dramatic story readings to bring Poe's disturbing works to life. Registration is required to attend. This program is cosponsored with Mystic & Noank and Waterford libraries and generously funded by Groton Public Library Circle of Friends.

Eastern CT Paranormal Society

Wednesday, October 12, at 6:30 p.m.

Join the Eastern Connecticut Paranormal Society at the Groton Public Library as they present "The Truth Behind Investigating the Unknown." This program gives a detailed approach on how to investigate the paranormal, a veritable Paranormal 101, which includes a local investigation with evidence for the audience to review. There will also be a 30-minute question and answer period. Don't miss this spook-tacular event!

Learn to Play: Betrayal at the House on the Hill

Join us at the Groton Public Library as we learn to play Betrayal at House on the Hill! Explore a haunted house and see if you can survive the betrayal of one of our party members. After learning how to play our title game, attendees can play any of the games in our collection or bring their own for a fun evening with friends! This program is designed for adults 18+.

Not Your Mother’s Book Group

Meet up with fellow Millennials and Gen Z-ers (ages 21-40) at the Groton Public Library to socialize, play games, and talk about books! This month, read a book that fits the theme "Spooky Season”—interpret it however you see fit.
