Milford Public Library 2023 March Program Calendar
March News at the Library!
This year the library will be hosting a series of events, The Gale Gokey Brown Series on Civic Engagement. The focus of this series will be to offer opportunities for learning and discussion on a wide variety of issues related to both current and historical civic issues, government and democracy. This month features a discussion led by State Senator James Maroney on the CT State Budget, and a "Pizza and Politics" program for middle and high students led by Milford's Mayor Blake.
As I mentioned last month, we are making changes to the program listings on the library website, as well as changes to some of the other website content. Our goal is to make the library website easier to navigate, and easier to view on mobile devices. Library programs are now listed on a separate site, https://milford-pl.libcal.com. This online event calendar can be filtered to show age appropriate programs, allows for program registration (if required), and allows us to include more program information. Paper calendars can be printed using the link below, and are available at all library service desks.
Again, THANK YOU for your continued patience as we navigate services while the elevator is not working. The elevator will be replaced and the city has started the bid process to find a contractor. Please contact us if you need assistance; staff are happy to make accommodations in services, bring materials to the lower level, etc. Please stick with us.
Be sure to check the calendar for ALL the adult, children's and teen programs we have planned - staff have been busy! And, as always, thank you to the Friends of the Milford Library for funding all our programs!
