Join interior designer and writer Marissa Marcantonio for Pequot Library’s annual Southport Garden Stroll Cocktail Party at a waterfront harbor home. Marissa is a seasoned consultant for designers and companies across the country, specializing in sharing design trends, as well as spotting up-and-coming talent. In 2006, she created the popular Style Beat blog, which over the years has amassed a large following. Marissa will be discussing her time in the interior design trade, as well as what makes the world of interiors so interesting and impactful. A resident of Southport, she will also highlight what makes this part of Connecticut so well-suited for beautiful interiors and landscaping.
Coffee and Conversation

Join us at 8:30 a.m. for coffee followed by a conversation with Connecticut’s Historic Gardens (CHG) President Jill Hogan to learn more about our state’s beautiful, historic gardens. Founded in 2004 by a group of Connecticut historical organizations, CHG comprises 16 sites in total. Ranging from the artfully manicured grounds of Farmington’s Hill-Stead Museum to the beautiful garden beds of Old Lyme’s Florence Griswold Museum, Jill Hogan and CHG work tirelessly to ensure the longevity of these beautiful sites.
