We have beer on the brain as we plan our November 4 Shakes-beer Festival (4:00 p.m.). Read a bit about the history of this concoction, its link to our current exhibition, How William Became Shakespeare: Four Hundred Years of the First Folio, and our Special Collections in this week's Digital Digest! Our adult book picks focus on beer, whereas our children's book pick refers to hot dogs; Super Duper Weenie truck will provide nibbles for the Shakes-beer festival.

Visit the final days of our 23rd Juried Art Show, on view through October 24! 50% of the proceeds benefit Pequot Library. View the online gallery here.
