From: Southbury Public Library
March 20, 2023

Hello, Friends!

Next week we have a special round of events for adults at the library! With a mix of evening, afternoon, and weekend events and covering topics ranging from page to screen and from Southbury to England, we have something for almost everyone. First, learn how to get published and get your publishing questions answered with Southbury Poet Laureate Faith Vicinanza on Tuesday night with So You Want to Be in Print at 6:30pm. If you're in the mood for a movie, we have two poignant films based on true stories: Till on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm and She Said on Thursday night at 6pm. On Thursday afternoon at 2, dive into the secrets behind The Crown with a talk by entertainment historian John Kenrick. Saturday we're keeping it local with a 10am program on how to make your own 350th anniversary quilt square for Southbury's 350th anniversary and a talk about the history of the Irish in Southbury at 1pm. Read on to find out more about these events, and how to register to join us!

If you're looking to get some spring cleaning done while supporting a great cause, the Friends of the Southbury Public Library are having a Book Donation Day this Saturday, March 18 from 10am to 3pm. They are also having an online charity auction running until Wednesday, March 22 at 7:35pm, with bids starting at $1.00 for books, antiques, art, and more. Find out more about these events below!

Best wishes,
The Staff of the Southbury Public Library
