Town Of East Hartford Pauses COVID Small Business Assistance Program Until Further Notice

From: Town Of East Hartford
September 26, 2022

East Hartford, CT - The Town of East Hartford will put acceptance of new ARPA Small Business Assistance Program applications on hold, effective at the close of business on Friday, September 30, 2022.

Since the inception of the program in May of 2022, East Hartford has received an overwhelmingly positive response to the program from the local business community. To date, East Hartford has received 65 applications and over 125 initial registrations. The first approved businesses have already started to receive reimbursement funding to help them grow and recover from the effects of the pandemic.

However, due to an overwhelming number of applications that our staff needs to review and to ensure that the limited amount of funding can be allocated fairly and equitably, we will be putting the program on hold until further notice.

No applications will be accepted after September 30, 2022. Staff will continue to work with applicants to gather any additional necessary information following the deadline as part of the review process.

The Town will begin to accept new applications again at a date to be determined in the event that funding is available and staff has completed reviewing previous applications. Please monitor the town website for updates at www.easthartfordct.gov/development-planning.
