The Center will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.

We are excited to be having the Holiday Basket Raffle again this year, thanks to our member groups, donors and Senior Providers. Baskets will be on display beginning Tuesday, December 6 through Monday, December 19. Raffle tickets may be purchased at the front desk for $1 per ticket, or $5 for six tickets.

Fairfield Family Holiday Giving Program

Our Social Workers are getting ready and organized to help your neighbors for the holidays. We need your help! Fairfield Social Services is seeking gift cards and monetary donations for our annual Family Holiday Giving program. Each year the Town of Fairfield Social Services assists local families in need during the holidays. Gift cards are needed for supermarkets, gas, pharmacies and general holiday shopping. Donations are gratefully accepted during business hours 9 AM to 3:30 PM at the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities 100 Mona Terrace, Fairfield CT 06824. For more information please contact: Eileen Fickes, MSW: EFickes@fairfieldct.org or call Fairfield Social Services at 203-256-3170.

Fairfield Police Department Holiday Toy Drive

The Fairfield Police Department’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive begins on Friday, November 27, 2020! It is our hope that the caring and giving nature of the Fairfield community shines brighter than ever before to make this holiday season a bit more joyful for those less fortunate! The Bigelow Center wants to help. Drop off your toy donation at the Bigelow Center or the Fairfield Police Department by Wednesday, 12/15. Toys will be delivered to the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA organization on Saturday, December 19, 2020 and distributed at numerous low income housing developments. Toys should be new, in original packaging and not gift-wrapped. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept stuffed animals this year. Thank you for helping spread a little more cheer and joy!
