Last day to pay January taxes without interest is Wednesday, February 1st. If you are responsible for your real estate payment and cannot locate your tax bill, contact the Tax Office at 860-665-8540. Envelopes stamped by the US Postal service will be honored. Interest is charged on February 2nd. There are no exceptions per CT State Statute.
The Town also has a secure online payment & electronic billing service which offers you flexibility to enjoy 24/7 access. You can pay your taxes 24/7 by credit/debit card or by check through our online vendor, Invoice Cloud, who charges a service fee for online payments.
Online Credit/Debit card payment fee is 2.95% of the payment. Online payments made by check are $.95 per transaction. Any prior year taxes will be paid first. If a motor vehicle release is needed, releases can be processed five business days after online payments.
The Tax Office does not accept debit/credit card payments in the office or by telephone.
