Town Solar Panels Construction Nears

First Selectman Matt Riiska predicts that a large solar panel array will be built this summer. And don't forget, another public information session will be held Tuesday to update residents on the gas spill cleanup.

 Large Solar Panel Array Nears Installation Stage

First Selectman Matt Riiska reported this week that the solar array planned for the Norfolk Transfer Station is nearing the point of installation. He has no construction start date yet but guesses that it might be completed this summer. Read more.

 Gas Spill Update Meeting Tuesday

There will be a third public information meeting Tuesday, January 31, at 7:00 p.m. to update progress being made on the cleanup following the November 5 gas spill on Route 44. The meeting will be held at Botelle Elementary School. Read more

Shares Services Sets Screenings for Preschool

Screenings for the Shared Services Integrated Preschool Program (SSIPP), which serves the needs of children ages 3 to 5 in Barkhamsted, Colebrook, Hartland and Norfolk, will be held March 23 and 24. The program is located at the Barkhamsted School and follows the Barkhamsted School calendar. Read more.

Public Hearing Set for Dog Park

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall to consider an application from the Norfolk Community Association for a Norfolk Community Dog Park. Read more
