Trash to Literary Treasures: This Week Has it All

It's hard to tell where Norfolk's interests will settle in any given week--last week it was banned books-- but the coming days will touch on a wide array of topics. There will be an update on Zero Line's efforts to assist Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty; an up-close look at the splendid architecture in the town's center; a discussion of carbon and climate; a look at how best to utilize the town's transfer station and, oh yeah, the opening salvo in the three-day Haystack Book Festival. Tomi Obaro, a writer and editor for BuzzFeed, will present the Festival's Brendan Gill Lecture Friday, which will be followed by diverse discussion over the next two days.
