Author Talk and Performance with
Sharon Ruchman

In her first book and memoir, The Gift of Rudy, Sharon Ruchman, an American composer, musician, and author, chronicles the life and tragic death of her great uncle, Rudolph “Rudy” Fuchs, who was a great violinist of his generation.

After Ruchman talks about what led her to write her memoir, she will play Another Time, a musical composition she wrote in honor of Rudy. She will also play a few jazz-style piano pieces.  Tuesday, 3/28 at 6PM.

Traditional Celtic Music

Traditional Irish fiddler Deirdre McMorrow and guitarist/songwriter Paul Pender will energize concert-goers with a program of traditional and original Celtic songs. McMorrow, formerly of the band Bangers and Mash from New York, has been performing for several years all around Connecticut/New York. Irishman Pender, also an author and filmmaker, performed often at his own “Old Dublin Pub” in Wallingford, as well as around the tri-state area. Sunday, 3/26 at 1PM.

Author Talk: A Place Called Home with
David Ambroz

A Place Called Home, is a gut-wrenching personal account of Ambroz’s early life of poverty and homelessness. Ambroz endured begging, bathing in public restrooms, and foster care, where he endured physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, all of which were compounded because of his sexuality. Tuesday, 4/4 at 6:30PM.

Teen Bad Art Afternoon

Grades 6-12. Join TAB as we host our first ever "Bad Art" program. We will provide a plethora of arts and crafts materials and give you a time limit to create the worst art that you can. Prizes will be awarded for the most terrible designs. Saturday, 3/25 at 2PM
