Located in the heart of the historic downtown Bridgeport and shaded by leafy, mature trees, McLevy Green (named for Bridgeport’s beloved socialist mayor Jasper McLevy) provides a tranquil setting for many events throughout the year, including Sweetport & the International Sounds of Summer Music Festival. Adjacent to the Green is the historic McLevy Hall, a Greek Revival structure that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. When McLevy Hall was new, it was visited by a little-known young politician Abraham Lincoln, who was campaigning for president.
