2. Peabody Museum, New Haven, CT

This excellent natural history museum provides an educational environment for students to explore different cultures both past and present as well as the natural world. Students ages three to 18 and those with a valid college ID receive admission for only $6. The museum is free for students currently enrolled at Yale with a valid ID. 

3. New Haven Museum, New Haven, CT

The New Haven Museum is an already affordable outing for families, as regular admission prices are under $5. However, students receive admittance for $2 and children under 12 years-old are free. The New Haven Museum has educational displays about the history of New Haven, starting from 1638, when Puritans established New Haven and its surroundings.

4. Apple Store, Multiple locations

Apple offers education pricing for college students, their parents, and teachers to provide more affordable options for computer education. Discounts are pretty steep, with iPads starting at $309 and laptops starting at $849. Subscriptions to Apple Music are also reduced to just $4.99 per month and you’ll receive a free three-month trial.

5. Banana Republic, Multiple locations

To stock up on some workwear basics for that student internship, Banana Republic offers students and teachers with a valid ID 15 percent off their purchase. This discount is only available on purchases made in-store, but 15 percent off certainly adds up when it comes to buying one of their perfectly tailored suits to help you feel confident while interviewing for an internship.

6. Goodwill, Multiple locations

Students definitely aren’t made of money, but when you need some new clothes, what are you to do? Go thrifting at the Goodwill for already discounted vintage finds, but be sure to visit on Tuesdays, as every Tuesday is student discount day, with 20 percent your total purchase with a valid ID.

7. Blissworks Yoga, New London, CT

9. Go Airport Shuttle

If you don’t happen to go to school on the Greyhound or Amtrak lines and need to fly instead, the GO Airport Shuttle connects several of Connecticut’s colleges with New York area airports.
