The celebrated documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney (Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room ) has always "cast a cold eye," to quote William Butler Yeats, in a scrupulous search for the truth. But in No Stone Unturned, the Irish-American Gibney gets personal as well as political, having worked for a time near the The Heights Bar a remote pub in Loughinisland, where six Catholics were gunned down while watching Ireland play Italy in the 1994 World Cup. The case remained unsolved until Gibney jumped in. A passion-filled tale of crime that finally brings some bit of closure to the families and community involved.
